This may mean a simple change to your lifestyle for example walking the dog more often, or taking the stairs instead of the elevator. Whatever you decide to do, you should be able to incorporate it easily into your daily schedule so that you will be able to get exercise without it being a big deal or causing a lot of stress. Simple weight lifting is also good as you will be able to increase your muscle tone and burn off more calories.Metabolism is truly an amazing process. Yet it has such a bad rap, people blame their metabolisms for their being overweight, tired all the time, not having enough energy.Well, I won't stand quietly and listen to these bogus complaints any longer!

All food has to be converted into energy - if you don't need all of this newly created energy, your body stores it as (wait for it...) excess fat. This process of converting food into energy is what we know as metabolism.The thing is, we can boost our metabolism (naturally) by making a few simple changes.First we need to eat better. Eating fewer carbohydrates is a great way to start. I don't mean totally restricting "carbs", just cut back, by making better food choices (things like, whole grain bread, instead of white bread, more fruits and vegetables and less cakes and cookies.), common sense things really.
